Support group for new or young parents: Every third Tuesday (starting March 18) from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Lewistown Children's Center on Green Avenue, Lewistown.
Current Parent Supporting Parents: Every fouth Tuesday (starting March 25) from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Lewistown Children's Center on Green Avenue, Lewistown.
Both groups are FREE and FREE childcare is provided!
This program is for any family in the community with children 2 through 17 years of age. It is for families who have been through other parenting classes as well as for any parent who needs support and guidance from peers and professional facilitator. Meetings are confidential and non-judgmental, and you can join at any time.

The Parent Support Group is offered by the Mifflin County Communities That Care and Clear Concepts Counseling.

Meetings are free of charge and are open to ANY parent, grandparent or caregiver who wants to meet with others to talk about parenting issues.

Topics such as discipline, anger management, child development, and effective communication will be discussed based on the needs of those who attend the meetings.

A professional facilitator leads the group. Parents can freely share their questions, concerns, problems, and give support and encouragement to each other in life’s most difficult job.

Free child care will be available at every Parent Support Group meeting.
