This is a social program for children aged 2 to 8 years of age.
This program is implemented by Success By 6 of The United Way of Mifflin-Juniata in child-care programs across Mifflin County. The goal is to strengthen teacher classroom management styles, to promote pro-social behaviors, and to focus on ways in which teachers can effectively collaborate with parents to support their school involvement.
The anticipated outcomes of this program will include: Reduction in the incidences of negative behaviors at home and a decrease in aggressive and disruptive behaviors in the classroom.
Program goals include:

Promote emotional and social competence

Prevent, reduce, and treat behavior and emotional problems in young children

Engage and motivate youths and families to reduce and/or eliminate intense negative attitudes and behaviors.

Provide preschool children with skills such as emotional literacy, empathy, friendship skills, anger management, and how to be successful at school.
